Our client, due to their ongoing growth and ambitious expansion plans, is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Financial Accountant, you'll work closely alongside the senior management, playing a crucial role in optimising and driving the quality of the organisations financial reporting, compliance, and strategic insights. This is a high-impact, technically demanding position, perfect for someone with a sharp eye for detail, strong financial acumen, and a desire to influence the broader direction of finance operations.

The responsibilities:

• Prepare company accounts in line with IFRS and FRS.
• Oversee audits and tax filings, ensuring accuracy and deadlines are met.
• Handle statutory duties including Corporation Tax, VAT, import duties, Transfer Pricing, and Intrastat.
• Monitor changes in tax and regulation, advising leadership on business impact.
• Contribute to monthly management accounts through preparation and review.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling for group and project needs.
• Provide analysis to inform and support strategic decisions.
• Work with the Finance Team to improve and simplify processes.
• Act as a trusted finance partner to other teams, promoting financial awareness.
• Manage lease accounting systems and liaise with property teams to maintain compliance and accuracy.

The candidate:

• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) - ideally 1 - 2 years PQE.
• Proven experience in financial statement preparation, consolidations, and process improvements.
• Strong grasp of financial systems, with exposure to lease accounting, property finance, or automation tools an advantage.
• Excellent communicator, confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
• Highly organised, proficient in MS Office (especially Excel), and accurate under pressure.
