Financial Accountant

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the candidate will be responsible for Statutory Accounts and Technical accounting and intercompany reporting.

Our client, a multi-entity business operating in the Distribution industry are seeking a Financial Accountant to join their growing team on a full time and permanent basis. The company operates with a focus on innovation and maintaining high standards in its financial practices.

Description

Financial Accountant duties include;

• Lead on multi-entity Statutory accounts preparation.
• Intercompany reporting at month-end
• Hedge Accounting and reporting hedge requirements to the US Treasury team monthly
• Group accounts and consolidation of foreign subsidiaries
• Posting of tax entries
• Assessment of technical accounting measures as they arise and implementation of any new accounting standards
• Provide support to foreign subsidiaries with any technical accounting issues
• Liaise on audit matters and ensuring timely responses to all audit requests and limiting overruns
• Support CFO and Senior Manager: Financial Reporting in ad hoc projects/tasks, as required

Profile

The successful Financial Accountant should have:

• ACA or ACCA qualified
• Excellent knowledge of UK GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS.
• Strong attention to detail
• Be able to build strong relationships with key members of staff and other management accountants in the team
• Advanced in use of Microsoft Excel including vast knowledge of functions
• Deadline driven, whilst maintaining strong financial accounting integrity
• Will consider a first stepper from practice

• Competitive salary of approximately £50,000 to £55000 per annum.
