Job Description

Key info:
Work closely with an exceptional Head of Finance across all aspects of the financial and accounting function of the bank.
Play a lead role in all management and statutory reporting
Contribute to developing and progressing the finance function through automation and new initiatives and projects
Up to 70k + strong bonus
Hybrid working (50% in 50% from home) City Location

Person requirements:
Banking industry experience

ESSENTIAL
Fully Qualified accountant
Working knowledge and understanding of Financial accounting within Banking
Articulate and confident, able to communicate at all levels
Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
Good systems and IT skills (MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint)

Responsibilities:

Manage the balance sheet, profit & loss, and summary financials for the Bank
Produce periodic forecasts intra-month for senior management including key drivers
Manage the analysis on BS, PL, including ratios and graphs for monthly reports to the Board
Contribute to implementation of Fund Transfer Pricing methodology alongside HoF & Treasury
Prepare MI Pack for submission to EXCO & the Board
Contribute to production and submission of VAT and corporate tax returns.
Key role in the preparation of the annual statutory accounts.
Work with the HoF in budget and 3 year plan preparation and performance management analysis
Support financial forecasting and modelling for stress testing, capital and liquidity planning
Develop automation across Financial Reporting
Aid new product development by providing all finance relating elements to products (e.g. accounting treatment and associated impacts)
Assist with all aspects of the integration of new digital banking products
Play a key role in implementation of a new Banking System (exact details tbc)
