Sellick Partnership is pleased to be working with an Acute NHS Trust based in the Southwest, who are looking for an experienced Financial Accountant to cover a role within their team. This will be an initial 6-month contract with the potential to extend.

Key responsibilities of the Financial Accountant will include:
Lead the planning, preparation and completion of statutory NHS accounts and returns Oversee the achievement of key financial accounting and cash-related targets Lead the management of the Trust's charitable funds Provide strategic oversight of the Trust's cash management function Manage Trust purchase cards and treasury management arrangements Ensure effective financial systems are in place to support strong financial control Lead and performance-manage the financial accounting, charitable funds, cash management and financial systems teams Coordinate the preparation of plans, monitoring returns and submissions to the Department of Health and Social Care and NHS England Act as the Trust's point of contact for insurance, VAT and banking arrangementsRequired experience/qualifications:
