Financial Accountant IFRS 16

Halliday Marx have partnered with an outstanding media business to hire a Financial Accountant with IFRS 16 experience on an interim basis for 5 months.

This role has hybrid working (2 days a week in the office, 3 from home)

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise on IFRS 16 leasing and related costs.
• Assess contracts for lease requirements.
• Manage lease contracts and forecasts.
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies.
• Maintain and update the IFRS 16 lease accounting model.
• Ensure timely and accurate posting of lease accounting entries in the general ledger.
• Liaise with stakeholders to gather lease data and review lease contracts for accounting implications.
• Prepare monthly reconciliations and disclosures related to right-of-use assets and lease liabilities.
• Support audits and financial reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with finance and operational teams to ensure compliance with IFRS 16 policies.

Requirements

• Available to start within one week
• Fully ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
• IFRS 16 experience
• SAP experience is a nice t have but not essential
