Interim Financial Accounting & Controls Manager
Location: Bristol (Hybrid - 3 days office, 2 days home)
Rate: £450 PAYE / £515 Umbrella per day
Duration: Initial 3-6-month contractAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Interim Financial Accounting & Controls Manager to join a large, complex organisation undergoing significant transformation. Working within a specialist finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring robust financial accounting, governance and controls across a major business area whilst driving process improvements, enhancing compliance and supporting best practice across the wider finance function.

Key Responsibilities

* Ownership of financial accounting and controls across a designated business area

* Preparation of technical accounting papers and support on accounting judgements

* Ensuring compliance with financial policies, regulations and governance requirements

* Supporting audit activity and strengthening financial control frameworks

* Driving process improvements and contributing to a faster, more efficient month-end close process

* Working with senior stakeholders across a large matrix organisation.

About You

* ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified

* Strong financial accounting and reporting experience

* Proven background in financial controls, governance, risk and compliance

* Experience operating within large, complex organisations

* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills

* Technical accounting expertise and experience of statutory reportinG

* SAP experience would be advantageous.

This role would suit a Financial Controls Manager, Financial Reporting Manager, Group Accountant, Technical Accounting Manager or experienced Finance Manager seeking an exciting interim opportunity within a high-profile programme.
