Morgan McKinley Northern Home Counties are working with a growing business in the north of Northamptonshire to recruit a Financial Analyst on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and experience working with financial data to join a collaborative finance team and support key reporting, analysis, and business decision-making.
Role Overview
The successful candidate will play a key role in analysing financial and operational data, producing insightful reports, and supporting the month-end reporting cycle. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with the Head of Finance to provide meaningful analysis and help drive informed business decisions. The role will suit someone who enjoys working with data, identifying trends, and improving reporting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly management accounts
* Analyse financial and operational data to identify trends and provide meaningful insight.
* Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and reporting tools.
* Support the posting and review of journals, accruals, and prepayments where required.
* Assist with balance sheet reconciliations as part of the month-end process.
* Support the preparation of annual statutory accounts and audit schedules.
* Maintain and improve internal financial processes and reporting controls.
* Contribute to enhancements in finance systems and reporting tools.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* Strong experience analysing financial data and producing meaningful reports.
* Experience using Power BI or similar data visualisation tools.
* Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work with large datasets.
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to present financial insights clearly to stakeholders.
* A proactive and solutions-focused mindset with an interest in improving reporting and processes.
Salary & Benefits
* Salary between £36,000 - £47,000 per annum depending on experience.
