Job Description - Financial Business Partner Commercial

The Role
The Finance Business Partner Commercial (FBPC) is responsible for the preparation, analysis and reporting of the support services cost centre and holding/financing company financial performance in addition to cultivating a culture of information-driven decision-making through timely, visible, and transparent information. The FBPC will support the continuous drive for improvements & value creation. In particular, the FBPC will support the drive for digital optimization of payment processes via the Group Project Management Office and cashflow forecasting with the Group Controller.

In this role, the FBPC will be exposed to a number of key areas in the commercial organisation and play an active role in operational improvement and driving change within the support services functions to a culture of data-based performance management. The FBPC will engage with the support services functional leads through fostering strong relationships across the senior management community.

The FBPC will report on the financial performance of OASIS commercial services and holding/financing subsidiaries across P&L, balance sheet, cashflow and other metrics. The FBPC will be responsible for liaising with the relevant stakeholders to consolidate, analyse and challenge where appropriate the commercial budget (ATL/NRC & Capex) in addition to monitoring (short, medium, and long term) and providing insight into the performance.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis with regular travel. Candidates can be based anywhere in England as long as they have the ability to travel to our various sits for meetings and working collaboration.

Key Responsibilities
The Group Finance Manager is accountable for the OASIS middle office functions delegating responsibility for such middle office functions to the FBP. These middle office functions include but are not limited to:
Statutory audit.
Treasury (including cashflow forecasting, risk management and policy development).
Tax (including transfer pricing).
Group insurance.
Corporate simplification.
Finance Business Partner to Support Services functions.
Shareholder and lender reporting.
Acquisition accounting.
Company secretarial.

The FBPC will identify key initiatives to improve business performance (to be agreed with key stakeholders, communicated to the business, and monitored thereafter) and will be the Finance subject matter expert for strategic digital process optimisation initiatives in your area of responsibility, including identifying and prioritising the most important opportunities and driving the necessary changes in the business. OASIS wants to transform into a data-driven digital-orientated business model which will require a broad redesign of OASIS’ ways of working.

Candidate Requirements
Qualified/part qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or relevant financial reporting experience.
Easily shift between abstract strategic discussions and operational details to be able to drive projects including scoping, analysis, and development of recommendations.
Have stakeholder management experience and comfort in providing challenges and a different perspective when necessary.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels and of various disciplines.
Strong communication skills, presentation skills, and commitment to excellence.
Proven capability of conducting and interpreting advanced quantitative/qualitative analysis, problem-solving, and data manipulation.
Demonstrate superior judgment to mitigate risk.
Strong project management, problem-solving/decision-making, continuous improvement, and change management skills.
Ability to engage with all levels of staff and focus on developing solutions that meet and/or exceed projected results while building and maintaining strong relationships and gaining trust.
Remain informed of the latest developments, techniques, tools, and processes within the strategy/strategic performance and analytic space.
