Financial Controller

Financial Controller – Scunthorpe – £60,000-£65,000 

Chase & Holland are partnering with a leading engineering business who are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to support the business through substantial period of growth which is set to continue. As the Financial Controller, you will need to be comfortable with the day-to-day management of the finance team and ensuring that the company always abides by legislation and financial standards. This is a fantastic opportunity to become the number one in finance on site and be part of the Senior Management Team! You will be working closely with the Managing Director and partnering him in growing the UK business.

Reporting into the MD, Financial Controller Responsibilities include:

• Management of Monthly Management Accounts preparation and group reporting
• Preparation of the board pack and presenting at board meetings
• Production of year end accounts for statutory audit
• Cashflow management and forecasting
• Managing a small finance team
• Capex management and forecasting
• Management of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts
• Constant development of systems, processes and reporting
• Play an active part in the senior leadership team
• Compliance and controls management
• Point of contact for external stakeholders including banks, auditors and tax advisors.

Required Skills & Experience:

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or strong QBE with proven experience
• Proven background in leading a finance function for a site/ business
• Ability to manage, mentor and develop your finance team
• Experience working in a busy, varied finance role and understand the importance of achieving reporting deadlines
• IT literate including ERP systems and Excel
• Outstanding communication skills, proactive and “can do” approach to finance
