Financial Controller

Services company based in Essex is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller to manage a team of 7, reporting to the CFO.

Responsibilities

• Oversee team of 7, ensuring quality of output and timeliness of month end close
• Development of financial reports for the Board
• Weekly cashflow reporting and analysis, managing banking relationships
• Review of financial control environment and enhancement of exisiting processes
• Lead the year end audit process and liaising with external auditors
• Oversee statutory reporting half and full year reporting
• Management reporting to investors
• Business partnering the CFO on day-to-day matters
• Review of systems and key involvement in any upgrades
• Escalation contact for any supplier queries

Your background

• Qualified accountant with relevant PQE
• Experience of working in labour-intensive services businesses preferred
• Strong technical accounting skills
• Strong leader and mentor with high standards
• Exposure to PE-backed companies beneficial
