Financial Controller

We’re partnering with a well-established business turning over just under £5m per annum, seeking a capable and motivated Financial Controller to take responsibility for day-to-day finance operations. You’ll oversee all core accounting duties, supervise one finance assistant, and provide the leadership and reliability that a small but ambitious business need

Based out of their Wythenshawe office, your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the full finance function including month-end, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Preparing management accounts and maintaining accurate financial records
• Handling VAT returns, payroll oversight, and statutory submissions
• Supporting commercial decision-making with clear financial insight
• Supervising and mentoring one finance assistant

The successful candidate is likely to be qualified by experience or part-qualified/qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), and have previous experience in an SME environment with end-to-end finance responsibility. You will be confident with Excel, possess strong attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Working closely with the leadership team, you will bring excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a close-knit team.
