About the Role:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. The successful candidate will be a strong leader, capable of developing their team and enhancing systems and processes. You will oversee multiple limited companies and manage departmental cost codes within them.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop the finance team.
• Oversee daily bank reconciliation and cashflow forecasts.
• Manage inter-company transactions and supplier payments.
• Handle sales ledger, credit control, and fixed assets.
• Prepare weekly financial summary reports for Directors.
• Compile monthly management information reports for accountants and the wider group.
• Conduct project costing using Eque2 software.
• Submit returns to HMRC for VAT & CIS.
• Manage payroll for over thirty monthly and seventy weekly paid employees.
• Ensure VAT & HMRC compliance and liaise with company accountants.
• Maintain personnel records and handle HR matters.
• Manage all other aspects of the company’s finances and undertake ad hoc tasks.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Sage 50 is essential.
• Experience with Eque2 Construct and Sage Payroll is advantageous.
• Background in the construction sector is essential.
