Financial Controller

Simpson Judge is working in partnership with a growing SME, easily commutable from Preston, Blackburn and Chorley, to recruit a Financial Controller. The successful candidate will run the finance team and support the Finance Director in establishing a robust and commercial finance function. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified accountant, looking for a step up.
This is an office based role.

Salary: £60,000-£65,000

Responsibilities:
* Production of monthly management accounts, including balance sheet, P&L, variance analysis and commentary
* Cost centre analysis and reporting
* Monthly balance sheet reconciliation and presenting summary reports to the Finance Director
* Reviewing financial performance of each department with the Board and making recommendations
* Full responsibility for production of company budgets
* Continuous development and improvement of financial controls
* Cash flow management, including forecasting & reporting
* Assisting with system implementations and integrations
* Oversight of statutory returns and supervision of both monthly and weekly payroll
* Lead on external audit and liaising with auditors

Requirements:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
* Team management experience
* Advanced Excel skills
* Strong data manipulation skills, with the ability to extract and identify issues
* Manufacturing experience is preferable
* Strong costing knowledge
