Financial Controller
Salary: £47,250 - £55,000 per annum
Location: Colchester, Essex (Office-based, 5 days per week)

We are partnering with a rapidly expanding media business to recruit a Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant to take full ownership of financial operations within an ambitious, growing organisation.

As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for:

• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Preparation of accurate monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, and regulatory reporting
• Budgeting & Forecasting: Leading the annual budgeting process and producing regular re-forecasts
• Financial Control: Maintaining robust accounting processes and implementing improvements where needed
• Business Partnering: Working closely with senior stakeholders to provide financial insight and support decision making
• Compliance: Ensuring all financial activities comply with statutory requirements and internal policies
• Systems & Processes: Identifying and implementing improvements to financial systems and reporting

The successful candidate will have:

• Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
• Previous experience in a Financial Controller/ Manager or similar leadership role
• Strong technical accounting skills including management accounts preparation
• Excellent knowledge of accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks or similar)
• Ability to communicate financial information to non-finance colleagues
• Experience in a fast-paced commercial environment
• Right to work in the UK with no sponsorship required and Uk finance work experience
