Financial Controller

Axon Moore is exclusively partnering with a highly reputable and fast growing SME in the Chorley area who are searching for an ambitious Financial Controller to join their high performing finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven candidate to develop under the guidance from a ACA Finance Director whilst managing a driven finance team. This is a highly visible and fast paced role and you will be key in supporting the successful delivery of the aspirational financial strategy over the next couple of years.

You will be responsible for all aspects of Financial Control and Operations, Reporting, Management Accounts and Statutory Accounts.

The successful Financial Controller will:

• Ensure strong financial control over key processes in a growing business with accountability for month-end process.
• Report on business cash performance and budgeting.
• Build strong relationships with external stakeholders across the business.
• Drive process improvements, efficiencies and controls.
• Oversee the preparation and presentation of accurate and timely financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accounting standards
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate control processes into business operations
• Lead the financial side of new projects and business initiatives, providing the strategic insight to guide the business to success.

Person Specification:

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified accountant
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• A pro-active team player who thrives in a hands-on role.
• High attention to detail

The role is currently working 5 days office based but operates core/flexible hours.
