Financial Controller | £65,000 - £75,000 | Dover | FC / Business Partner for a Subdiary of a Large Group

Axon Moore has partnered with an exciting SME near Dover to recruit a Finance Business Partner for a growing SME.

This business is part of a wider group, so this Financial Controller / Finance Business Partner will be the most senior finance member on site, working closely with the MD and Senior Management Team. They will also report to a Group Finance Director and will be supported by a team of peers doing similar roles in other businesses around the country. This will be an excellent role for a candidate to work autonomously at a local level, but receive the professional support and development needed to advance their career. The transactional elements of finance will be managed off-site in a shared service centre but this Financial Controller / Finance Business Partner will be responsible for everything beyond this, and will be tasked with adding value across the business.

This is an exciting time for the business as they receive a lot of financial investment and begin a professionalisation process to modernise their finance function and improve their operational framework so that the can go on to support more clients in the area. They're a rapidly expanding business and so they are looking for a strong accountant and a good leader in this role.

Candidate Profile:

- Qualified ACA / CIMA / ACCA
- Open to candidates with 2 - 10 years post-qualified experience
- Strong accountant who is able to go beyond management accounts and reporting and start to add value
- Someone who can understand the commercial performance of a business and work with management to develop local KPI's to improve performance
- A candidate who has come from a professional business and can help implement a better suite of MI and board packs to be used by management
- Someone with an interest in general business outside of accounting, that can understand the business objectives and help management work towards their long term goals
- A self-motivated individual and leader
