Financial Controller

Overview

We are delighted to be working on an exclusive basis with a local business to recruit a Group Financial Controller for the North Durham area.

The Role

Reporting into the Group FD, you will collate raw data from the Management Accountant and Asst Management Accountant, analyse it and use it to create meaningful reports for the board. Additionally, you will oversee the financial operations of the whole group and collaborate with the senior leadership team to ensure that the group’s financial performance is at optimum level and that internal controls are maintained.

The Person

Applicants must be ACE/ACCA or CIMA qualified (or equivalent) with at least five years’ experience, with 3 of them in a senior role. They will also have working in a multi-entity structure and be able to operate multi-site payroll functions when required.

A strong leader, you will be able to think strategically, be able to use your commercial acumen to make data driven decisions and work well under pressure.
