Embark on an exciting journey with my client, a profitable business within the services sector as their new Financial Controller. In this pivotal role, you will apply your exceptional financial acumen and commercial insight to manage the financial operations. The role is based in state of the art offices in Macclesfield and offers hybrid working

Key Highlights:

Oversee all financial functions, ensuring smooth and efficient accounting practices across multiple entities
Collaborate closely with stakeholders and other heads of department providing accurate and timely financial data
Lead the Finance team in robust financial planning, reporting, and compliance

Preferred Requirements:

Ensure accurate and timely management accounts, financial analysis, and reporting for associated businesses
Manage a small finance function
Responsible for financial controls and processes, including overseeing external year end audit and VAT reporting
Collaborate with non-financial managers to identify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvements
Partner with the wider business community in making strategic decisions

Preferred Qualifications:

QBE or Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with extensive experience in a similar financial controlling role
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across the business
Proficient in financial software and where possible implementation of a new system
