Financial Controller

Reed Finance are partnered exclusively with a manufacturer and supplier business near Newbury to help recruit a new Financial Controller on a permanent basis.

Reporting into the CEO and working closely with the Managing Director you will be an essential part of the Senior Leadership Team as well as having overall responsibility for the Finance function and working with Directors across the Group. This is a very hands-on Controller role and requires someone who is technically astute with the ability to manage a small team.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead and manage the finance team
• Preparation of monthly management accounts, board packs, and financial KPIs with commentary
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
• VAT returns
• Maintain and improve financial systems, controls, and processes
• Provide financial insight and analysis to support strategic decision-making
• Drive continuous improvement and cost-efficiency initiatives across the business
• Stakeholder engagement
• Partner across the business inc. Sales, Ops, HR(?) and Marketing providing financial and commercial insight to dept. heads to support decision making
• Ensure compliance with all stat and regulatory requirements
• Cash and debt management

You will ideally be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA), have experience managing a multi-currency group business over £10m, and good people management skills. As an individual you will be collaborative and happy to get stuck in at all levels.

Please note this is a fully office-based role.

Salary offered is £60-70k doe
