Job Title: Financial Controller

Location: West Bromwich, UK

Salary: Up to £70,000 (depending on experience)

The Role:

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Financial Controller will be responsible for leading the finance team, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and insightful analysis to support decision-making at all levels of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all financial operations including month-end and year-end close processes
• Prepare timely and accurate management accounts, forecasts, and budgets
• Lead the annual audit process and liaise with external auditors
• Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements
• Develop internal controls and improve financial processes
• Provide financial insight and strategic support to senior management
• Manage and mentor a small finance team

About You:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
• Proven experience in a senior finance role, ideally within manufacturing or industrial sectors
• Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting standards and financial regulations
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Commercially minded with strong analytical capabilities
• Proficient in financial systems and Excel
