Financial Controller

A well-established manufacturing company based in Salisbury is looking to recruit an experienced, detail-oriented Financial Controller to join their busy finance team. You’ll take ownership of the financial reporting and control function, supporting strategic decision-making and ensuring accurate and compliant financial operations.

Salary for the Financial Controller is up to £43500 and you'll be working full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm.

Key Responsibilities as the Financial Controller include:

• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Prepare monthly management accounts and financial statements in line with reporting deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and manage the year-end audit process.
• Monitor cash flow, balance sheets, and profitability to support business performance.
• Develop and implement financial policies, controls, and procedures to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors and banking partners.
• Lead and support the finance team, providing guidance and development where required.
• Work closely with senior management to provide financial insight and support strategic planning.

You'll ideally need:

• Proven experience in a financial control or similar role.
• Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-financial stakeholders.
• Proven leadership and team management skills.
