Financial Controller

Step up into a pivotal Financial Controller role in a £150m turnover manufacturing and distribution group.

We are partnering exclusively with this entrepreneurial, high-growth business to recruit a Financial Controller who will work closely with the Group Finance Director to take the finance function to the next level.

This is not a "steady as she goes"FC role. We are looking for an ambitious, commercially-minded qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) who wants to step into a visible leadership position with real influence on the business.

The Role:

• Own production of monthly management accounts and financial reports

• Lead ledger control and balance sheet integrity

• Oversee payroll, VAT, Corporation Tax, and year-end

• Drive daily cashflow forecasting and management

• Manage and develop the small finance team

• Lead stock and shipping cost audits, FX payments, letters of credit

• Work with auditors and produce year-end accounts

• Support property investment reporting

• Improve reporting and data through Excel and IT systems

About You:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified

• Strong technical accounting skills and commercial acumen

• Hands-on, proactive, and detail-oriented

• Advanced Excel and comfortable improving systems and processes

• Experience in manufacturing, import/distribution or product-led businesses preferred

• Eager to step up, learn, and contribute at Group level
