Financial Controller, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire (Hybrid working)
£75- £85kpa plus benefits including a 10% bonus

Our client, a dynamic, fast-growing private equity-backed business entering an exciting phase of expansion. With a strong pipeline of acquisitions and ambitious growth targets, are looking for a well-rounded Financial Controller to join their team and play a pivotal role in their journey. This role offers a clear path to Financial Director as the business scales.

The Opportunity:
This is a high-impact, hands-on role ideal for a driven finance professional who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. You'll work closely with the senior leadership team and private equity stakeholders, helping to shape financial strategy, drive performance, and support sustainable growth.

Key Responsibilities:
* Own the accuracy and integrity of statutory accounts, partnering with external auditors for timely and compliant reporting.
* Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring high-quality, timely financial reporting.
* Build and manage robust financial models to support forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning.
* Ensure full compliance with tax obligations, including VAT, corporation tax, and statutory filings.
* Oversee the audit process, addressing queries promptly and efficiently.
* Develop and maintain strong internal controls and financial procedures across the business.
* Provide strategic financial analysis and recommendations to the senior leadership team.
* Play a key role in integrating acquisitions and supporting due diligence activities.

About You:
* ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (or equivalent).
* Proven experience in a financial controller or senior finance role, ideally within a fast-growing or private equity-backed business.
* Strong technical accounting and financial reporting (Statutory Accounts) knowledge.
* Commercially astute with the ability to influence at all levels.
* Financial Modelling Skills.
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
* Ambitious, with a clear desire to progress to a Financial Director role.
