Financial Controller | Liverpool (office based) | £60,000 - £70,000

Talentedge is supporting a £50m TO logistics business in Liverpool City Centre in finding a Financial Controller to take ownership of their finance function as the business continues to expand.

This is the first time this business will be bringing in a Financial Controller, therefore they’re looking for someone hands-on, that will get involved in the detail and take control of the finance function via cost saving, efficiencies and processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing accurate financial analysis, preparing management accounts, supporting business decision-making through insightful financial reporting, cost management and leading the year end accounting and tax compliance process with the external accountants. This role is ideal for a qualified or QBE accountant looking to apply their skills in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the part-qualified accountant and sales ledger function.
• Develop, implement, and maintain company financial policies and procedures.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and financial reporting.
• Preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial plans.
• Manage and develop a finance team.
• Provide financial insights to support strategic decision-making and business performance.
• Monitor and analyse financial performance against key metrics.
• Cash flow forecasting and working capital management.
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations.
• Oversee the financial year-end close and liaise with external accountants.
• Work collaboratively with stakeholders to provide financial guidance and reporting.
• Provide insights to improve cost control and operational efficiency.
• Reporting on stock transactions and movements.

• Salary: £60,000 - £70,000
