Michael Page Finance are delighted to be partnering a leading, high growth Fashion Retail / E-commerce business based near Kingston Upon Thames.

The business has had double digit growth via acquisitions and new product categories. Founded in the mid 80's, the business has a rich heritage and have had strong sales growth across store, e-commerce, wholesale and third party and are positioned to grow further in the coming years.

Bucking the trend in the retail sector, the business turnover circa £120m, have increased profit by 40% and are continuing to invest to drive growth.

As part of the growth the business are looking to hire a Financial Controller

Description

Reporting to the Finance Director the Financial Controller will be responsible for:

• Oversee and manage all financial reporting and accounting processes.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare accurate financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes for the organisation.
• Provide strategic financial insights to support decision-making.
• Monitor cash flow and implement effective financial controls.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline accounting processes.
• Manage and develop a high-performing accounting and finance team.

Profile

A successful Financial Controller should have:

• A recognised accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
• Extensive experience in financial reporting and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proven ability to lead and manage teams within the accounting and finance department.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Experience in the retail industry or a similar sector is advantageous.

Job Offer

The Financial Controller position comes with a base salary of £80,000-85,000, bonus, discounts, hybrid working, private medical and pension.
