Job Title: Financial Controller
Location: Royal Leamington Spa
Remuneration: £65,000 - £75,000 per annum
Contract Details: Permanent, Full Time

What Will Your Role Look Like?
As a Financial Controller, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the financial function, ensuring the business remains compliant and competitive. Your responsibilities will include:

Accounting Duties:

• Oversee the entire accounting function
• Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including accounting and tax issues
• Plan and set-up payments
• Execute month-end balance sheet reconciliations
• Prepare Monthly Management Accounts and board reports
• Liaise with external accountants for Year-End Accounts
• Supervise and develop the Accounts team
• Prepare annual R&D Tax claims

Financial Management:

• Develop and implement effective credit control strategies
• Manage cash flow to ensure adequate working capital
• Oversee grants and funding management
• Conduct budgeting and forecasting to align with 1-5 year goals
• Represent Finance & Company Systems on the Senior Leadership Team
• Collaborate with senior managers on budget setting and financial goals
• Provide insights on the organisation's financial performance
• Identify cost reduction and revenue-generating opportunities
• Ensure adherence to Financial Policies and Procedures
• recognise financial risks and propose mitigation strategies

What Do You Need to Be Successful?
To excel in this role, you should possess:

• CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualification or be a finalist with strong relevant experience
• Relevant experience in the manufacturing sector is highly beneficial
• Experience with dealing with OEM's would be highly desirable
• High level of IT literacy and strong analytical skills
• A process-driven mindset and critical thinking abilities
