Job Description - Financial Controller

A media business is looking for a Financial Controller to lead financial operations and support the leadership team as the business continues to grow. This is a unique opportunity to shape the financial direction of a growing media company.
You’ll be responsible for all aspects of financial control, reporting, and planning, while also helping to develop processes that reflect a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities

Lead budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial reporting
Design and improve processes suited to the business’s specific operational needs
Provide financial insights to support commercial and strategic decisions
Ensure compliance with statutory obligations and internal financial controls
Support the audit process and preparation of statutory accounts
Drive the use of automation and digital finance tools
Train and support staff on finance systems and best practices

What You’ll Bring

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
Experience in financial control, ideally within a creative media or project-based business
Prior experience managing and developing teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
A proactive, flexible, and solutions-focused approach
