The Role
As Financial Controller, you will take full ownership of the finance function and lead a team of three finance administration staff, including one who is doing their exams. This role is pivotal to the continued success of the business and is perfect for someone who thrives on responsibility and is eager to grow alongside an ambitious company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead all core finance operations including Reporting, AP/AR, payroll, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, financial statements, and performance reports
• Monitor project profitability and conduct margin analysis
• Ensure compliance with HMRC requirements, including VAT, PAYE, and CIS
• Oversee audits, internal controls, and risk management processes
• Drive financial system improvements and efficiencies
• Act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership
• Develop and lead a high-performing finance team

What We Are Looking For:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
• Qualified by experience welcome to apply
• Strong understanding of project-based accounting is useful
• Hands-on, proactive, and analytically minded
• Strong communication and leadership skills
