Financial Controller

Your new company
This well-established commercial vehicle brand is known for its market-leading products and strong presence across the UK. As part of their continued growth, they are seeking a qualified Financial Controller to take ownership of month-end reporting, lead audit delivery, and manage a tight-knit transactional finance team.

Your new role
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you'll be responsible for overseeing month-end closure, statutory audit preparation, and driving technical accuracy across reporting. You'll manage a team of three, including AR and AP leads and a finance apprentice. Key responsibilities include:

• Leading month-end close and ensuring financial accuracy under IFRS and UK GAAP
• Managing the audit process and acting as the key liaison with external auditors
• Coaching and supporting the team to deliver consistently high performance
• Reviewing and improving financial processes for efficiency and compliance
• Working cross-functionally with HQ and group finance teams
• This is a visible and hands-on leadership role with scope to influence and evolve accounting operations locally.
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified (mandatory), ideally with a background in practice
• Experience managing small finance teams and leading audits
• Strong technical accounting knowledge (statutory, IFRS, reconciliations)
• Highly organised, commercially minded, and confident engaging with stakeholders
• First time movers from practice will be considered
