Financial Controller

We're recruiting for a Financial Controller role that gives you proper ownership.

Not the kind where you're technically "in charge" but spend half your time fixing someone else's mess or waiting for head office to sign off your spreadsheet.

This one's different. You'll be the senior finance lead for a standalone business (under a wider group umbrella), reporting into the Group FD but running the show locally.

* Producing management accounts
* Hands on management of the finance function
* Keeping a tight grip on cash flow
* Managing stock and inventory planning (which is a big deal here)
* Leading a small team (AR/AP and a finance analyst)
* Partnering with the ops team, who are sharp and actually listen
* Getting stuck into a brand-new MS Dynamics Business Central system

You'll have a front-row seat (and actual input) into the system launch. It's a seasonal business - about 75% of revenue comes in the first half of the year. So forecasting and cashflow discipline aren't just "nice to haves" - they're essential.

* Happy being on-site every day - not because of control freakery, but because this team works better together
* Good with people. The last person struggled with stakeholder engagement. It matters here.

* £55,000 - £65,000 salary (flexible for someone exceptional)
