Financial Controller

Reed Finance is recruiting for an ambitious Financial Controller with hospitality experience to lead a finance team. This is a key role joining at an exciting time, with growth potential within the group.

You will be professional, with the ability to deal with multiple facets of the role have experience of challenging situations a management position can bring and understand the importance of deadlines, accuracy and getting the most out of a team.

Someone, willing to take a hands-on approach, and do the work that needs doing, but also work with the teams and bring your experience, initiative and own ideas for improvement to the position.

Financial Controller

Hospitality experience - Full Time (Office/ Hybrid working)

Salary up to £60,000 per annum (flexible depending on experience)

Key duties to include:

- Managing the day-to-day finance function for the group with a small team of finance assistants.

- Strong in reconciliation work

- Production of monthly accounts, annual budgets and rolling forecasts.

- Reconciling monthly balance sheet packs.

- Report on variances between actual and forecasted/budgeted performance.

- Profit and Loss analysis, budget sheets, cash flow.

- Accurately process accruals and prepayments.

- Review and challenge accuracy of Deposit, Guest and Sales Ledgers.

- Bank and Control account reconciliations and Income Audit.

- Develop and maintain sound financial controls and processes.

- Assist in payroll preparation and reporting.

- Produce and transmit the monthly payroll via payroll bureau.

- Ensure timely billing, cash settlement and ledger maintenance.

- Ensure all financial records are maintained with accuracy and to deadline.

- Assist with the annual audit process.

- Working with the Group FC in the timely and accurate production of accounts

Qualifications and experience:

- Previous experience of working in the finance team in the hotel or hospitality sector.

- Strong Excel skills
