Financial Controller

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Controller to join a growing FMCG business based in South Birmingham. This senior finance role will play a key part in driving financial performance and supporting strategic decision-making across the organisation.

Reporting into the senior leadership team, the Financial Controller will be responsible for managing a high-performing finance team, including management accountants, finance business partners, and technical finance specialists. You will lead on financial planning and analysis, ensure robust financial controls, and provide valuable commercial insight to support continued business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and develop a multidisciplinary finance team
• Oversee monthly management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Act as a strategic partner to operational and commercial teams
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Drive continuous improvement in systems, processes, and reporting
• Provide technical accounting support and guidance where required

What We're Looking For:

• A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with relevant post-qualification experience
• Strong leadership and people management skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced, commercially driven environment
• Excellent technical accounting knowledge
• Strong business partnering and stakeholder engagement abilities
• A hands-on, proactive approach with a passion for driving improvements
