Role: Financial Controller
Location: Brighton or London (Hybrid Working available, office based in London Victoria)
Hours: Full time
Pay: £75,000 per annum and benefits package

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Financial Controller to join one of our established clients, an innovative and growing technology-led business, with offices in both Brighton and London.

The Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, ACA, CIMA) preferred
• Proven experience in a finance management role, ideally within the technology or digital services industry
• Proficiency in accounting software (Sage) and Microsoft Office/Google Suite
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate financial information to non-financial stakeholders
• Experience managing and mentoring junior staff
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to work to tight deadlines

The Role:

• Manage day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly management accounts across multiple entities, with key analysis for senior leadership
• Monitor cash flow to ensure liquidity for short and long-term operations
• Prepare financial forecasts, budgets, and conduct variance analysis
• Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reporting timelines
• Oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements in line with accounting standards
• Coordinate audits and manage regulatory compliance including tax and VAT filings
• Collaborate across departments to support financial planning and decision-making
• Lead and develop a small team within the finance function
