Michael Page Finance are delighted to be partnering a global leading Architecture and Design firm based in South West London to recruit their Financial Controller.

Founded almost a decade ago, the firm have a quadrupled their turnover from £35 million to £136 million in the last 12 months due to diversification and a number of high profile projects. The business is the market leader in the sector they operate in and have a portfolio of striking, modern and practical designs. They also boast first-class projects in Audio Visual, Wayfinding, Brand Activation, Food & Beverage, Events and Design and Build to name a few.

Recently moving to brand new, modern offices the business has increased their profit by 1,500%. As part of their growth, they are looking to appoint a capable and experienced Financial Controller to join their Finance team.

Description

The Financial Controller will report directly to the Finance Director working closely with the business on all finance related matters and will be responsible for:

• Manage and mentor finance team
• Review & assist preparation of monthly management reporting, presenting back to the business
• Oversee preparation of statutory reporting and the external audit
• Partner the department heads with preparing budgets and forecasts/reforecasts.
• Cash flow forecasting and cross-regional cash management
• Oversee preparation and presentation of project profitability reporting
• Collaborate with business leaders on commercial / financial decisions on projects
• Deliver improvements to processes and systems to improve efficiency
• Ensure timely completion of all relevant tax filings and reporting across the region
• Work closely with external banks and the internal legal department
• Provide strategic financial advice and insights to the leadership team to support decision making and long-term business planning
• Ad-hoc as required

Profile

The successful candidate will ideally be:

• A fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Demonstrable experience in a similar role
• Strong technical finance and controllership experience, Confident understanding of IFRS accounting standards.
• Experience with US GAAP a bonus.
• Multiple-currency and strong Tax exposure, ideally from multiple-regions.
• Architecture, Engineering or Construction experience is advantageous
• Strong excel skills
