Financial Controller – Loughborough – £65,000 – £75,000

We’re working with a fast-growing organisation to appoint a Financial Controller. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to step into a broad, business-facing role in a private equity-backed group with a strong performance track record and ambitious growth plans.

This is not a siloed reporting role. As Financial Controller, you will lead a small finance team, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting, and a smooth month-end process. You will also oversee transactional finance and contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

You will work closely with operational leaders to provide clear financial insight, help shape decisions, and drive performance. This includes translating financial data into actionable commentary and supporting teams in understanding their numbers and accountabilities.

The role will also offer involvement in systems and process improvements, as well as supporting financial planning at group level. It is ideally suited to someone seeking a balanced mix of control and commercial work, with a clear pathway to future senior leadership.

We are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with at least 2 years’ post-qualification experience. You may be practice trained and now building on your experience in industry, or you may come from an established industry background with strong business partnering experience.

You should bring:

• Proven business partnering skills, with an interest in how finance drives performance
