What you'll do
- Prepare monthly divisional and consolidated management accounts, liaising with finance representatives to finalise results, reporting on variances as required and providing commercial insight
- Own the annual audit process, acting as the primary point of contact for external auditors, and preparing statutory accounts in accordance with IFRS
- Ensure that reporting is compliant with all relevant accounting standards and keeping up to date with new reporting standards that may impact the company
- Act as the first point of contact for technical accounting and financial reporting
- Perform balance sheet and inter-company reconciliations to ensure integrity of the general ledger and financial records
- Reviewing monthly VAT returns and liaising with tax to provide necessary reporting
- Manage and develop the financial reporting team, promoting high standards and reviewing their work as necessary
- Provide support in the preparation of budgets and forecasts
- Drive continuous process innovation to improve reporting accuracy, strengthen controls and improve efficiency
What you'll need
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CPA, essential)
- At least 3 years post-qualification experience in a financial accounting or similar role
- Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP and IFRS accounting standards, including leasing
- Prior experience managing complex audits
- Inventory experience
- Comfortable and confident with presenting to senior leaders
- Proactive and self-motivated with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience with financial accounting software (NetSuite) would be beneficial
