The Role: Financial Controller
We're looking for a qualified accountant to join our Finance team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with around 2 years' post-qualified experience who wants to take ownership of a key trading entity while developing commercial, treasury and business partnering expertise. You'll play a central role in financial reporting, cash flow management and strategic decision-making, working closely with senior stakeholders across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Own the financial control of Avanti's primary trading entity.
Manage month-end processes including journals, reconciliations, accruals,prepaymentsand fixed assets.
Oversee statutory reporting and coordinate with external auditors.
Own the Group cash flow forecast and support liquidity planning.
Providecommercialinsightto improve financial performance and support decision-making.
Business partner with senior leaders across the organisation.
Support budgeting,forecastingand annual planning.
Drive finance process improvements and systems development initiatives.
Contribute to wider Finance projects and continuous improvement activities.
Skills & Experience
Essential
Qualifiedaccountant(ACA,ACCAor CIMA).
Around of2 years' post-qualified experience.
Strong technical accounting knowledge under IFRS.
Advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Desirable
Experience within telecoms,technologyor other fast-paced industries.
Exposure to private equity-backed businesses.
Experience using NetSuite.
Previousinvolvement in statutory accounts preparation and external audits.
Experience mentoring and supporting more junior finance team members, or a natural ability to help develop others would beadvantageous
