ABOUT ES BROADCAST
ES Media Group is a group of businesses including i) ES Broadcast and ES Broadcast Hire, are leading providers of equipment sales, equipment rental and systems integration services to the professional broadcast industry, as well as live events, e sports, corporate and government sectors, ii) Film Store Rental is a cine equipment rental business, and iii) Memnon, a library migration and content services business.

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
This role is key to ensuring of the smooth running of the Finance Department, consisting of 4 in the UK, with 1 direct report. The role will also consist of managing overseas finance teams, in the US and Belgium and outsourced finance provision in Spain, France and New Zealand.
This role is focused on successfully establishing and maintaining financial controls and processes with a customer focused approach combined with strong
interpersonal skills to successfully communicate to a broad range of stakeholders across the wider organisation. Working across the Group and at all levels, this role requires an understanding of the businesses and their financials, including P&L’s, Balance Sheets and cashflows.
Critical to success in this role is partnering with business managers and directors across the group to support them at month end and during the month.

DUTIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

JOB DESCRIPTION

Provide support to the CFO
Day to day running of the accounts department, including:
Maintain effective control over processes
The provision of effective training and development of staff in the department
The management of cash flows and the maintaining of banking relationships at an operational level
Management of accounts team
To ensure the department maintains the expected high levels of performance regarding

timekeeping/absence

and to lead by example.
Provision of timely, useful and accurate management information in order to successfully achieve group goals. This includes monthly management accounts and also forecasts.
To work with Finance Manager to review and rework Board Pack with full financials, commentary and analysis
Manage a process of consolidating results from UK and overseas companies
Manage annual year end audit
Build relationships with overseas counterparts to ensure there is the effective provision of management information, including monthly accounts, variance analysis, executive summaries and cashflow and revenue forecasts. Ensure that this information is received in a timely fashion and in a format allowing easy consolidation into the group accounts
Review and re engineer processes in order to achieve efficiencies and improve effectiveness of controls
Understand a newly implemented accounting system, FinancialForce
Responsibility for budgets, audits and statutory accounts
Responsible for meeting compliance requirements, including VAT and CT
Responsible for completion of Payroll, back-up to Finance Manager who prepares payroll for UK and US companies
Management of credit control function
Set-up and management of asset data base including monthly reconciliation
Support the CFO in the raising of asset finance
Back up other members of the accounts team
Other ad-hoc responsibilities as required by the business

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified with 3 years post qualification experience
FinancialForce experience would be useful but not necessary
Experience of managing a Finance team in a fast paced complex environment
Track record in providing leadership in collaborative roles and building strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders at a senior level
Demonstrates maturity, professionalism and an alignment with the businesses growth aspirations
Able to demonstrate problem solving capabilities e.g., track record in addressing strategic, tactical and operational issues through a pragmatic and commercially sound approach.
To be analytical, data literate with the ability to identify and evaluate trends and opportunities, leverage performance data and inform rapid and accurate decision making
Well-developed organisation skills and to be proactive, with a proven ability to prioritise workload in a fast-moving environment.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of people and organisations to build trust at all levels.
