Description

Financial Controller - asset manager - 12 month FTC

Financial Services

City of London

• Work with the CFO-COO to manage the preparation and review of financial statements and monthly management accounts for entities based globally
• Manage monthly/quarterly and annual reporting cycle to corporate partner
• Oversee financial control including review of bank reconciliations, authorising payments & cash transfers
• Responsible for managing the Firm's out-sourced Finance function
• Liaise with the Firm's auditors and manage year-end financial statement process for the Firm
• Assist CFO-COO in production of information for annual business plan
• Liaison with the Firm auditors for the production of audited financial statements

Tax:

• Ensuring tax compliance with various authorities including timely submission of returns, review of tax returns prepared, and timely payment of tax due
• Managing ad-hoc provision of tax advisory services by advisors

Regulatory:

• Annual update of Firm's Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP)
• Monitoring of Firm's ongoing capital adequacy
• Review of Firm's prudential regulatory returns (produced by outsourced finance function) and submission on FCA online portal

• Qualified Accountant
• Coming from Asset Manager or Fund Manager
• Solid full Statutory Reporting and IFRS Technical Accounting
• Great Control environment with SOX
• Regulatory Reporting across prudential themes including FCA, ICAAP
• Personality to handle big picture as well as smaller items (e.g. ap / ar)
• Handle third party practice book keeper

Job Offer

• Base pro rata £90,000 to £110,000
