Financial Controller / Chief Accountant

Our client, a renowned business process outsourcer specialising within the financial services industry, is currently looking to hire a Financial Controller. Reporting into the Chief Operating Officer, managing a team of 8 finance professionals and acting as the no.1 for finance, this is a key role that will own the finance and accounting activity, including statutory account reporting, across a large, complex, multi-site organisation.

You will shape strategic and long-term business plans as well as driving operational initiatives and financial metrics that help the organisation meet it's long term commercial objectives. In addition you will manage the firms internal stress tests, own the relationship with the external auditor and internal audit function, as well as facing off to the board, providing financial guidance and counsel on finance and accounting operations across the business. There are also a number of FP&A initiatives you will lead on.

This is a regulated role and the successful candidate will hold SMF2 responsibility.

I am looking for the successful candidate to have the following key skills and experience:

• Established experience operating in a Financial Controller / Finance and Accounting Director / Senior Accountant / Chief Accountant position
• Experience of operating within an Outsourced / BPO environment
• Experience of operating in a regulated SMF role
• Experience of owning statutory accounts reporting responsibility, ideally for an outsourced services provider or a large division/separate business entity, within an outsourced services provider environment.
• Experience of managing, inspiring and developing finance teams

This is an urgent requirement and would strongly favour immediately available candidates or those on a 3 month notice or less.
