This is ideally suited to you if you are looking for your first controller role and possess experience within the manufacturing space or you are an experienced Site Financial Controller and looking for a move into a more values based business.

Description

As Financial Controller, your role will involve;

• Monthly profit forecasting, month end closing & monthly reporting.
• Ensuring timely and accurate accounts monthly, reconciling the balance sheet to supporting detail.
• Management of 1 experienced finance assistant.
• Monthly management accounts preparation & presenting to senior leadership team.
• Financial Audit; liaising with external auditors, responsible for providing documentation Year end closure including year end adjustments if necessary.
• Close cost control through managing budgets alongside departmental heads.
• Reviewing system processes and implementing more efficient ways of working.
• Budget planning around fluctuating demand, activity based budgeting.
• Stock control analysis, determining slow moving stock, and the process to improve stock controls.
• Fixed Asset management and capitalisation.
• R&D recording for tax relief purposes.

Profile

• Qualified Accountant (CIMA)
• Manufacturing experience
• Strong understanding of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Well developed interpersonal skills with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels cross functionally in a global/European setting
• Working knowledge of SAP and MS Excel with exceptional analysis skills
