Financial Controller France

A renowned blue chip Manufacturing organisation based in the Lyon, France requires a Financial Controller.

The Financial Controller is a technical proficient financial and statutory accountant accountable for accurate, timely, compliant financial reporting of the French business entity. Managing a Finance team remotely (located in Krakow, Poland), and ensuring all internal and external financial compliance requirements are met.

The hybrid role requires 3 days in the office and 2 days working from home.

Key Responsibilities - Financial Controller France

• Accountable for the financial accounts of the French entity in accordance with group policies and procedures.
• Deliver all local financial statutory & regulatory compliance [including tax-related submissions].
• Manage external audit processes [group, statutory and regulatory].
• Manage a remote team of chief accountants based in Krakow, Poland.
• Accountable for implementation and maintenance of internal controls framework in line with group policies.
• Ownership of the balance sheet and P&L, highlighting any variances in numbers.
• Review and focus on the improvement of the financial position of the entity & its financial processes and systems
• Contribute to the development and implementation of group initiatives including a large SAP implementation / upgrade program.

Skills & Experience - Financial Controller France

• Qualified accountant - Certification or Degree [strong IFRS, local statutory and tax knowledge]. Over 8 years of experience. Strong technical financial accountant.
• Proven record of collaboration with senior leadership.
• Leadership experience in finance/accounting function in a multinational environment.
• Change management and remote team management.
• Manage key relationships in the business and plant managers.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to cross-functional collaboration. French and English language skills.
• Confident, well organised and outcome-oriented.
