Financial Controller
Our client in Billingham is seeking to recruit a Financial Controller.
Reporting to the Group Finance Director you will oversee the financial operations of a group of companies, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulations, and effective financial management.

Responsibilities are broad covering managing the finance team, developing financial strategies, and providing insights to support business decisions.
Working for a local entrepreneurial team this presents an ever changing new challenge and would suit someone with a strong technical background someone willing to take a very hands on approach to new development projects.
Specific Responsibilities
Creation, implementation and development of high-quality financial information systems.
Timely preparation of accurate monthly management accounts, including actual and forecast income and expenditure against budget, balance sheet, analysis of capital expenditure, cash-flow forecasts and ad hoc new business appraisal.
To assist with the annual audit process.
To act as the businesses Data Protection Officer and ensure the business complies with relevant legislation.
Support the Group Finance Director in ensuring that budgetary control is maintained for both capital and revenue budgets.
Budgeting and Forecasting.
Tax compliance.
Cash Flow Management.
Stakeholder Communication at Board level providing insights and reports to senior management, board members, and other stakeholders.
Strategic Planning: Support strategic planning initiatives by providing financial data and analysis.
Potential candidates should be qualified accountants meeting some of the following criteria
Proven ability to produce financial plans, statutory accounts, cash flows, revenue and capital plans and management accounts.
Knowledge of tax and treasury
Technically strong with awareness of accounting principles, financial regulations, and reporting standards..
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a commercial focus.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Starting basic salary will be envisaged as being in the £78,000 to £85,000 range.
