Financial Controls Accountant

South Manchester - up to £55,000 DOE

I am partnered with a brilliant organisation based in South Manchester - a firm with a global reach and award winning finance team. Due to continued growth and streamlining of the finance team they are seeking a Financial Controls Accountant on a permanent basis. This role will sit in their Group function and be an integral contribution to the business.

My client is looking for somebody with financial controls exposure, somebody with excellent systems knowledge and somebody able to speak to and manage stakeholders.

Key Duties:

• Drive and monitor financial controls across all central entities, ensuring standards meet ICFR requirements

• Responsible for robust control of all central balance sheets, with clear view on risks and opportunities

• Support and drive global finance policy compliance within central entities, including implementation of internal / external audit recommendations

• Support the external audit process working with the FSS teams to respond to and resolve queries raised by the external auditors

• Support for global financial control projects

About You:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA) with financial control experience.

• Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex issues, written and verbally, to both finance and non-finance teams alike

• Strong IT skillset
