Financial Intelligence Officer

Red Snapper Recruitment are recruiting for a Financial Intelligence Officer for a Financial Intelligence Unit in the Channel Islands.

Location: Guernsey (permanent, based on Island)
Contract: Permanent
Salary: £53,271 - £82,506 per annum, (depending on experience)
Vetting: Will need to be able to attain SC

Main duties and responsibilities

• To undertake activities to support the AML/ CFT Strategy to ensure and promote its effectiveness and compliance with the FATF International Standards on AML/ CFT along with other international standards in respect of Bribery and Corruption, Terrorist Financing, Sanctions and Proliferation.
• To ensure the prompt and accurate recording of FIU data and to maintain records relevant to own work area.
• To support in the administration and development of all FIU databases including THEMIS to ensure compliance with the FATF International Standards on AML/ CFT.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to undertake written research, extract relevant information, evaluate, and draw conclusions in a clear and concise manner.
• Excellent administrative and organisational skills, maintaining a methodical approach to working practices with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Able to always act with a high degree of integrity, to be entirely trustworthy and display an excellent understanding of the need for complete confidentiality when dealing with secure or sensitive matters, information or documents.
