Description

Working in the technical department of this large accountancy firm in London, you will:

• review the annual reports and financial statements of public interest entities and other entities in scope of the Firm's technical review requirements to confirm compliance with accounting standards, company legislation and applicable regulatory requirements.
• research, draft, and respond to technical queries covering accounting (IFRS and UK GAAP), UK company law, and corporate reporting matters.
• provide technical support and advice on accounting matters to partners and staff.

Profile

• The hiring manager is interest in applicants that have experience of any listing rules, for example the London Stock Exchange (LSE) listing rules, or Alternative Investment Market (AIM) listing rules, particularly in respect of the financial reporting elements.
• Professional accountancy qualification (e.g. ICAEW, ACCA or equivalent) with at least 3 years post-qualification experience (Manager) / 1-year post-qualification experience (Assistant Manager).
• Good working skills, knowledge and understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Previous experience of working in audit practice and/or in a technical position at an audit practice with listed entity and/or public interest entity clients.
