Job Description

Our client consider themselves to be a group of like-minded, values-driven people with a passion for financial planning. Backed by a Board of investor directors, who are building a UK-wide independent financial planning presence through a ‘hub and spoke’ strategy.

The firm operate over two sites; one in Ipswich and one in Colchester with approximately 70 employees and growing! They provide high-quality comprehensive independent planning advice to individuals, families and businesses across East Anglia.

Our clients team are big enough to deal with their ever-growing client bank, but small enough to mean that both staff and clients are more than just a number. They pride themselves on listening to their team members and try to train from within where possible, with varying avenues of progression available to all staff. They have worked hard to create a collaborative working culture where people can feel part of the company ‘team’ as a whole.

They are currently seeking an Administrator for their Ipswich office. They operate hybrid working with the ability to work from home 2 days a week on successful completion of a probationary period.

The role will include:

  • Providing general office administrative support including filing/scanning/photocopying, processing premium payments, answering the telephone, note/message taking and creating new files.
  • Maintaining client and policy records through the client management system and associated IT solutions.
  • Speaking with third parties to obtain client valuations.
  • Preparing illustrations for products for advice team to present at client meetings.
  • Preparing suitability reports with the assistance of the financial advice team to confirm advice and financial solutions to the customer.
  • Liaising with product providers and head office to maintain up to date product knowledge.
  • Ensuring that all compliance procedures are adhered to.

They will provide in depth, on the job training across all back office areas. You will also get a good understanding of the role by working closely alongside the financial advisers and administration team within our firm.

They are looking for a driven individual with a 'can-do' attitude and who puts providing excellent customer service at the forefront of their mind. You will have excellent communication skills, be able to work to deadlines and adapt to changing priorities. A high level of accuracy and attention to deal is required.

A good level of numeracy and grammar are essential, ideally achieving GCSE English and Maths at Grade B / Level 6 as a minimum.

They will consider varying levels of previous IFA administration experience. At least 2 years is preferable as well as experience of a financial adviser back office system.

Salary is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay range: £23,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
