My client is seeking a Financial Systems Accountant to take ownership of all financial systems, ensuring they are efficient, secure, and aligned with the trust’s strategic goals. This is a key role within the finance team, responsible for system management, data integrity, reporting, and user support across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee, maintain, and optimise key financial platforms.
• Ensure accurate, timely financial reporting and maintain compliance with audit requirements.
• Identify opportunities for automation and efficiency in finance processes.
• Provide expert advice and training to finance and non-finance users, developing resources to enhance system proficiency.
• Ensure all financial systems meet regulatory standards, conduct audits, and maintain robust security measures.

The ideal candidate:

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or extensive relevant experience.
• Strong technical expertise in financial systems.
• Proven ability to manage system integrations, troubleshoot issues, and implement process improvements.
• Analytical mindset with experience in data analysis and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills with a proactive and collaborative approach.
