JOB TITLE: Financial Systems Accountant

LOCATION: Swindon - Hybrid working

PACKAGE: £35-38k

THE BUSINESS:

My client is a well-known "not for profit" who have their headquarters based in Swindon.

THE OPPORTUNITY:

Help maintain and develop the organisation’s and their customers’ financial systems, develop reports and provide support to users as part of a shared service.

System Support

• To provide support and maintain financial systems including, but not limited to, Integra and ExpenseMe Pro, and their interfaces for all customers.
• To lead on financial systems reporting strategy, including creating, maintaining and enhancing reports (using Crystal Reports and XQuery), as well as the Excel based management information system and other management reporting tools.

• To interrogate and manipulate the database (MS SQL) to resolve support issues.
• To create and maintain systems support documentation.
• To coordinate disaster recovery tests.

System Development

• Identify and promote system-based process improvements.
• To participate in financial systems development and related IT projects.
• Work with software suppliers to implement new releases, resolving software issues and identifying areas for improvement.

Other

• Act as a contact for the provision of relevant data and analysis to internal and external parties on an ad-hoc basis, such as during audits.

• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Experience of writing user guides or process notes

Problem Solving

• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Sound numeracy with the ability to prepare, analyse and manage methodically large amounts of data

Relationship Management and Partnership Working

• A customer-oriented attitude
• Good team player

Technological Literacy

Intermediate-level Microsoft Office user

Understanding of financial and IT terminology
