This is a hands-on, strategic role for an AWS FinOps professional seeking impact at scale, combining advisory influence with practical delivery.

About the Organisation

Our client is a market-leading digital and cyber consultancy delivering advanced technology transformation across defence, infrastructure, and public sector programmes. They combine data, engineering, and intelligence expertise to help clients secure and optimise mission-critical systems.

Their security and intelligence division continues to grow rapidly, partnering with government and national agencies to design, migrate, and optimise large-scale cloud capabilities underpinned by AWS. You'll join a high-profile, collaborative team operating at the forefront of national security innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Act as a subject-matter expert in AWS cost optimisation and FinOps governance for major national security programmes.
  • Develop and implement FinOps strategies aligned with business and architecture objectives.
  • Partner with engineering and product teams to ensure solutions are designed for cost efficiency from inception.
  • Build data-driven business cases for optimisation, identifying waste, potential savings, and value opportunities.
  • Advise senior customers and internal leaders on best practice, influencing culture and adoption of FinOps principles.
  • Support internal capability development by shaping service offerings and mentoring technical teams.
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience applying FinOps principles to large-scale AWS environments.
  • Strong understanding of AWS cost structures, pricing models, tagging, and billing analytics.
  • Demonstrable experience influencing architecture and delivery to drive measurable cost efficiencies.

  • Single-stage interview process.
  • Hybrid model: average three days per week on site (London, Leeds, or Manchester)
  • 25 days' annual leave plus flexible benefits, private medical cover, pension, and company bonus
  • Structured career development and professional training under a dedicated career manager
How to Apply
